Slashdot 報導了 IBM 自己擁有一台強大的超級電腦了：Largest Privately Owned Supercomputer。
依據 top500.org 的數據，這台超級電腦的速度是目前第一名：TOP500 List for November 2004。(資料好像有點舊，我記得前陣子有看到破 100 teraflops 的新聞，不過我不太確定…)
Anyway，不管怎樣，這台的速度現在應該還在全球前五名，所以…

在 Jeremy Zawodny 的 blog 上看到 Yahoo! News 找人的消息：LAMP Engineer Needed for new Yahoo! site…。
不過我相信他列出來的清單跟 104 人力銀行 上面要求的等級是完全不一樣的 :p

在 Bruce Schneier 的 blog 上看到 Password Safe 出新版：Password Safe，這是一套存放 Password 的軟體。
理論上，在不同的機器上 (應該說，不同的認證系統上) 要使用不同的密碼，而且所有的密碼都不應該寫下來 (也就是要背起來)。
但你我都知道，這是不可能的 XD 像我自己就只準備了五六組密碼在使用，將某些機器分到同一個 Group 裡面用同一組密碼。
okay，理論上與實際上就是有這樣的差異，於是就有人想出折衷的辦法 :p 其中一個辦法就是用 Password Storage Utility 存密碼，Password Safe 則是其中一套 Open Source Password Storage Utility :p
當然，既然是 Burce Schneier 寫的，那麼當然是用 Blowfish algorithm :p 原因？因為這是他發展出來的啊 *grin*

當初 blo.gs 在 5/13 被買下時 (blo.gs to be sold, user data to be transferred) 並沒有透露買主是誰，結果一個月後答案揭曉了：welcome yahoo。
在 Jeremy Zawodny 的 blog 上也提到這件事情：Yahoo! and blo.gs。
相較於 Google Sitemaps 自己硬幹了 XML 要求使用者更新，Yahoo! 利用現有的 ping service (也就是購買 blo.gs) 看起來優雅的多？
John Battelle 在 Google Will Eat Itself 這篇文章裡面提到了這個 GWEI (Google Will Eat Itself) 這個 site：
This project, as I understand it, is a meditation on the economics of Google. The angle:
We generate money by serving Google text advertisments on our website GWEI.org. With this money we automatically buy Google shares via our Swiss e-banking account. We buy Google via their own advertisment! Google eats itself – but in the end we will own it!
換句話說，這個 fake site 用 Google Adsense 賺來的錢，去買 Google 的股票… (用力惡搞的 site)

Boing Boing 報導了一個有趣的 wmv，看起來很像是整人節目，把一個射擊遊戲的玩家用催眠的方式丟到布置的場景：Hypnotist kidnaps gamer and drops him into real-life shooter，不過作者也說他不曉得是不是串通好的：

剛剛看到這篇「無名的投資者，賈伯伯想跟大家說的一段話 (代po)」，最後面的地方署名「賈文中」，用 Google 搜尋「賈文中」可以找到一些資料，用 Yahoo! Kimo 搜尋也有一些資料：「賈文中」。
不過資料都不多… 大家先看看就好。
