換回 DSpam

在大量 (train 了超過萬封，大多數是被丟到 /dev/null 的 linux mailing list 以及 crontab log) 且長期 (兩個禮拜) 的 training 之下，qsf 判斷 spam 的能力表現明顯不如 DSpam，雖然 qsf 速度比較快，但畢竟 DSpam 是核子武器，像 qsf 這種普通的武器是幹不掉他的…

不過這次我改用 SQLite 2.x 當 backend，處理速度不曉得會不會比之前用 MySQL 好。(也許等下發現其實沒差多少？)

答非所問的 HiNet

在「Hinet宣稱有檔一半以上的垃圾信？」這篇文章中提到的一些東西是不對的：

當Hinet還要為自己辯護的時候，麻煩看一下別人的垃圾郵件防堵技術，應該有機會也是可以做得到的。當垃圾郵件量減少到10％以內，應該就不會有人指責Hinet是spam friendly isp了。

HiNet 被認為是 spam-friendly ISP in Taiwan 的原因，不是因為透過他們的 mail server (msa.hinet.net) 送出去的信，也不會是因為 HiNet 的客戶收到很多廣告信，而是因為他們的 ADSL user 直接連到外面的 MX receiver 所寄的廣告信，而 HiNet 對於這些 spammer 的處理態度非常消極。

The Register 報導：NY teen charged over IM spam attack：

A New York teenager has become the first American to be arrested for sending spam messages across IM networks. Anthony Greco, 18, of Cheektowaga, New York, was charged with violations of the CAN-SPAM Act after allegedly sending 1.5m messages punting mortgage refinancing and adult pornography to MySpace.com users in October and November 2004. According to a criminal complaint, Greco created thousands of fraudulent instant messaging accounts on MySpace.com to bombard its users with junk IM messages.

咦？又是小鬼？現在的小鬼真是太有「錢途」了，又是 hardware keylogger 又是 IM spammer…

hi5.com 的 Privacy Policy 問題

chunhan 在他板上抱怨收到 hi5.com 寄來的 invitation mail，我特地用虛擬帳號去申請，抓了幾張圖下來，發現果然有匯入的功能，包括了 MSN/Yahoo/AOL。

請注意看 hi5.com 的 Privacy Policy：

hi5 does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

換句話說，他的 Privacy Policy 只保障你本人的個人資訊 (personal information about you)，而不需要保障你 import 進去的這些 e-mail。
