一般來說，業者對 P2P 的反擊分成兩種做法：法律與技術。
法律層面通常是針對 server 端 (使用者端也有，不過比起 server 端的防堵效果就比較差)，像是 Bittorrent site 或是 eDonkey server 被迫關站的情況。
而技術上主要就是放假檔：檔名一樣，但是內容物完全不是你要的，於是讓 search 出來的結果一堆，抓下來後開始罵… 不過，這個方式後來有人建立資料庫，透過回報的方式將大部分的假檔都處理掉了。
今天在 Slashdot 上看到的新聞：Finnish Firm Claims Fake P2P Hash Technology，宣稱可以利用 hash collision 的方式讓假檔回報也沒有用 (因為 hash 是一樣的)。
文章內沒有說是哪個 P2P Network，不過看起來比較像是使用 MD4 的 eDonkey2000 Network，因為使用 SHA-1 的 Bittorrent 要找 hash collision 畢竟還是有一定的難度…

寫完上一篇「使用 GPL Fonts 產生的問題」，就馬上看到 EdwardLee 寫的「符合元智大學論文格式的 LaTeX 格式檔」，文中提到：
有許多朋友在書寫中文論文的時候，常常會需要去找這方面的格式檔/類別檔（class）。但目前現有的多數此種 class 都是屬於英文論文使用的，中文的很少。感謝陳念波老師所製作的 yzu_report.cls，這樣以後各學校的論文就可以很方便的據此修改成符合自己所需，這些檔案是以 GNU GPL 來 release 的。

Slashdot 上面提到使用在文件內 GPL Fonts (像是 PDF 內嵌字形) 可能會使得文件也被迫使用 GPL：Unintended Consequences of Using GPL Fonts。
不過在 FSF 的 FAQ 裡面有提到關於字形使用 GPL 的問題：How does the GPL apply to fonts?，在字形的授權下加上下列文字以避免爭議：
As a special exception, if you create a document which uses this font, and embed this font or unaltered portions of this font into the document, this font does not by itself cause the resulting document to be covered by the GNU General Public License. This exception does not however invalidate any other reasons why the document might be covered by the GNU General Public License. If you modify this font, you may extend this exception to your version of the font, but you are not obligated to do so. If you do not wish to do so, delete this exception statement from your version.

Black Ross (Firefox 的發展者之一) Simplicity is the best feature 在他的 blog 上提到 Erin Joyce 認為 Opera 8 出來的時候能夠對市場產生衝擊，但是他認為 Firefox 成功的原因之一是：
My mom doesn’t want tiling. Or cascading. Or panels. She just wants a simple way to keep multiple sites open, and it’s because Firefox provides only that—without all the confusing bells and whistles—that she finds it so appealing.
對不喜歡複雜功能的人，簡單夠用就好。而對於想要玩得更深入的人，有 extension 可以配合！
Robert Scoble 在他的 blog 上提到上面這件事情，不過他的想法有時候想法很奇怪，像是這篇舉了一個反例：Firefox developer urges other developers to create simpler designs：
