Windows 上 IPv6 ssh client – PuTTY 0.58

在 看到 這個有名的 ssh client 出 0.58 了，包括：

PuTTY now supports IPv6, xterm 256-color control sequences, wildcards and recursive file transfer in PSFTP, and keepalives in all operating systems. A number of small bugs were fixed, security was improved for SSH2, and port forwarding can now be reconfigured mid-session.

IPv6 support！

不過走 6to4 Gateway 看起來很慘啊，國內好像沒人放 (中央研究院計算機中心的不通，不知道是不是我設定錯誤) 6to4 Gateway：

倒是走 2002:: 互跳比較快：(廢話)

CSS 資源網站

標準網頁設計資源集大全 中引用了這個網站：CSS, Accesibility and Standards Links。

網站的右半部推薦 (作者是 ) 這本書，本人有幸看過 拿這本書在 亂晃 XD

不過我就不太懂左半部用黃綠色為底的網站是什麼意思了，看起來像是比較經典的站台？因為包括了 Position Is Everything (中文版翻譯：Position Is Everything)、CSS Zen Garden (中文版翻譯：CSS Zen Garden，不過後來因為有好幾個人向 CSS Zen Garden 提供繁體中文版本，沒選上被 reject :p)、A List Apart (其中的 Practical CSS Layout Tips, Tricks, & Techniques 有中文翻譯：CSS 實務排版技巧、秘訣與技術)。

什麼？為什麼我一直引用 的文章？因為我最近常常在抱怨山中無老虎，猴子稱大王 -_- ( 跑去當兵了)

不過據說他七月要重出江湖，不知道到時候會發生什麼事情 XD

是引用自 Six Million and one Paris Hilton Now PodCasting () 這篇文章：

Anyway she is going to use podcasting to promote her new movie House of Wax and will begin podcast her promotions, parties and more beginning April 29th.

除了是自己電影的 promotion 以外，也對 podcasting 幫助不少 :)

對了，在華人圈子裡好像沒看到豐富的 podcasting，除了文化上面造成的差異外 (不善於表達？)，bandwidth 的問題是不是也是考量之一？

如果是的話，也許我應該來搞搞這個東西 ~_~

Webshots 與 Flickr

一開始寫了這篇：Digital photo space gets even hotter with CNET’s latest acquisition，指出了 併購了 ，而 旗下的 也成為 家族的一員，與 s 合併，並指出 的 不夠看 :P

It’s joining . Now, don’t know about Webshots? I didn’t either until recently. But Webshots has 23 million members (Flickr has less than a million). and they get 750,000 uploads a day. More uploads in five days than Flickr has had in all of its existence. And HeyPix’s team is going to add on some killer new technology to Webshots, James tells me. (He showed me his app at a geek dinner earlier in the year and we’ve kept in touch since then).

不過 在 Webshots vs. Flickr? 這篇文章指出了 成長的比 快多了，並給了兩張圖，第一張是 Blog 使用 或是 的量：

很明顯看得出來 在 blog world 裡面並沒有 受到歡迎。

可以看得出來 的成長。

我用了一下 ，有很多問題：

  • 不支援 UTF-8 (我看了一下，是 ISO-8859-1)，於是我上傳的註解都必須用英文寫…
  • 免費帳號只能上傳 240 張 (努力傳滿 XD)，與 是限制每個月只能上傳 10MB 不同。
  • 每個 album 只能上傳 100 張， 不知道有沒有這個限制。
  • 的頁面沒有廣告，上傳人可以在照片上加註解 (Add Note)，而且所有的人都可以加 comments。
  • 最重要的是 有 Open API 給大家惡搞…

如同作者所說的：

As for why Flickr is growing so much faster than any other photo sharing service on the Web, I’m not the most qualified person to answer that… but I’m fairly sure it goes back to something I wrote a couple of weeks ago:

Open API Web services + open data repositories = Web ecosystems

Flickr is an ecosystem. Is Webshots? Is Ofoto? Is Shutterfly?

「跨國銀行：一天內遭萬次攻擊」，聽起來很聳動的標題？

國際銀行業者匯豐銀行（HSBC）的高層坦承，該公司曾在一天內遭受數萬次病毒攻擊。

這是說 Internet Worm 的攻擊嗎？這東西只跟 subnet 大小，以及 IP 附近的鄰居有關 (這樣說很奇怪，我的意思像是這樣：140.113.x.x 的鄰居有 140.112.x.x 與 140.114.x.x)，跟公司大小沒關係。

再來下一段提到的就更匪夷所思了：

英國的科技警察「國家高科技犯罪小組」4日表示，英國企業平均每天遭受7次病毒攻擊。在倫敦參加e-Crime Congress的匯豐集團營運長Alan Jebson則透露，該公司收到的病毒經常高達平均值的數千倍以上。

平均七次？那更不像 Internet Worm 了，連 Mail Virus 都不像 (一個公司一天只收到七封病毒信？)，所以現在是在講什麼？DoS attack 嗎？不像，因為 還沒有廢到連 DoS 翻不出來。Phishing？那就更不可能了：

他說：「我注意到一天7次攻擊的數字。去年最糟的一天，我們受到10萬次攻擊。」

一天內出現十萬個釣魚網站？!@#$%^…

結論是，我不懂這篇到底在講什麼鬼… 也許我應該去找找原文在講什麼 -_-

CodeZoo – Java 的 CPAN

公告他們決定要成立 CodeZoo – 的 ：CodeZoo, a new O’Reilly site, launches，不過與 不太一樣：

We’re not focused on hosting developer projects, like SourceForge, nor on comprehensively listing all open source Java code. Instead, we’ve hand-selected a list of the components we think will be the easiest and best to use in your development projects — whether you are an open source or commercial developer.

用人工選？這樣跟 差太多了。

sex.com 的判決

在 看到這個「非常有名」的 Domain Name 判決：Sex.com ruling upheld by Court of Appeals。

原因起於 1994 年 Gary Kremen 註冊了 sex.com，而 Stephen Cohen 故意假造信件要求 要求 Transfer：

Kremen, of San Francisco, originally registered the name in 1994. But Cohen, an ex-convict, took the name from Kremen the following year by sending a forged letter of transfer to Network Solutions (which subsequently became part of VeriSign).

然後 Stephen Cohen 到 2000 年十一月前利用這個騙來的 domain 架設色情網站獲取暴利：

Cohen then ran a highly profitable porn portal until November 2000 when a court awarded Kremen the return of the domain name.

然後跑到歐洲去爽：

Cohen has paid nothing to Kremen, and Kremen says that a warrant is out for his arrest. But according to the fascinating article by USA Today, Cohen is now in Europe, making what he describes as a “very comfortable living” in the European casino and construction industries.

另外 也因此被告：

Kremen also sued VeriSign for the initial blunder, a case that settled last year with the company paying Kremen an undisclosed sum.
